Organic Single Origins

Organic coffees are grown without use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides or herbicides. Ours are certified by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA) and the New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA). Fair Trade means that farmers were paid a fair price for their harvest to guarantee them and their families a decent living wage. Our Fair Trade coffees are certified by Fair Trade USA (formerly TransFair).

Single Origins or Varietals are coffees that have not been blended or flavored. Each one is our selection from its country of origin, and each has distinctive characteristics arising from the specific environment in which it is grown. The altitude, soil composition and climate, interacting with the plant’s genetics, all contribute to a coffee’s terroir—the taste of a specific place. The coffees we source are very special, and we want you to enjoy all the effort and knowledge that went into producing them, so we roast each one to its roast peak. The roast peak varies from coffee to coffee: some coffees hit their peak at a light-medium roast, and some are best roasted just a bit darker.

We roast five days a week and each bag of Red Rock Roasters’ coffee has a Roast Date on the bottom. You can count on freshness and transparency from us.
